$39k raised for the LLSC through Metro Payroll Deduction 2022 campaign

The Metro Payroll Deduction 2022 campaign to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) was a great success yet again this year.

Thanks to our incredible Members, who gave generously despite facing a hard year of inflation and increased costs of living, the LLSC will receive $39,578 toward their life-saving research, treatments, and family and patient support.

The members at Metro stores taking part in the campaign who raise the most have a chance to win great prizes each year. This year raffle prizes included gift cards and iPads. See photos of this year’s raffle prize winners in the video below.

The Metro Payroll Deduction campaign is an important part of the Local Union’s annual fundraising: thank you to all the members at Metro stores for taking part again this year.

The LLSC has been the charity of choice for UFCW since the mid-1980s. Since that time, the members of UFCW across Canada have raised an astounding $49 million.
